Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between DarkThread (the "Service") and its users.
Article 2 (Definitions)
① "User" means any member or non-member who uses the Service under these terms. ② "Member" means a person who has signed up and been granted an account. ③ "Post" means any content such as articles, comments, or images uploaded or transmitted by a user.
Article 3 (Formation of Agreement)
① A service agreement is formed when a user agrees to these terms and completes sign-up. ② Users under 14 may not register. ③ Information provided during sign-up must be accurate, and users bear any disadvantage caused by false information.
Article 4 (Account Information and Management)
① Members are responsible for managing account credentials such as email (or assigned login ID), display name, and password. ② Collection, use, retention, and deletion of personal data are governed by the Privacy Policy. ③ Members may request account withdrawal through features provided by the Service, and member data is deleted except where retention is required by law.
Article 5 (Social Login)
① The Service may offer social sign-up and login through third-party providers such as Naver, Kakao, and Google. ② During social login, the Service may receive minimal information such as email, display name, gender, and identifiers as needed to provide the Service, subject to the Privacy Policy and each provider policy. ③ Users must follow procedures guided by the Service for linking, unlinking, and preventing duplicate accounts.
Article 6 (User Obligations)
Users must comply with applicable laws, these terms, and posted policies. The following are prohibited: ① infringing others rights, reputation, or personal data; ② illegal, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, harassing, or spam content that harms community operations; ③ disrupting normal service operation or abusing systems or accounts; ④ impersonating operators or administrators or spreading false information.
Article 7 (Posts and Copyright)
① Users are responsible for content they post and must hold necessary rights or lawful permission to use it. ② The Service may move, hide, delete, or restrict posts when there is reasonable cause such as reports, legal violations, or policy breaches. ③ Users grant a non-exclusive license within the scope needed for service operation, improvement, and promotion.
Article 8 (Paid Services and Payment)
① The Service may offer paid products such as subscriptions or passes, and pricing, duration, benefits, and refund terms follow payment screens and separate notices. ② Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers, and users must review stated conditions before paying. ③ If a member violates these terms or policies, paid benefits may be restricted or the agreement terminated, and refunds may be limited to the extent permitted by law.
Article 9 (Service Changes and Suspension)
The Service may change or suspend part or all features for operational or technical reasons. Material changes or suspension are announced in advance, or afterward when unavoidable.
Article 10 (Restrictions and Termination)
① The Service may restrict use or terminate the agreement for reasonable causes such as violations of terms, laws, or policies, abuse, or prolonged inactivity, with prior notice or post notice in urgent cases. ② Users may terminate the agreement at any time through account withdrawal.
Article 11 (Limitation of Liability and Indemnity)
① The Service may not be liable for damages caused by force majeure such as natural disasters, network failures, or third-party outages, or by user fault. ② Disputes between users or with third parties are generally resolved by the parties involved. ③ Users who violate these terms and cause damage to the Service may be liable for compensation within the limits permitted by law.
Article 12 (Amendments)
The Service may amend these terms within applicable laws. Changes and effective dates are announced through notices and the terms page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Users who do not agree may terminate the agreement.
Article 13 (Governing Law and Disputes)
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes between the Service and users should be resolved through mutual consultation, and courts shall be determined under applicable laws such as the Civil Procedure Act.
